Glossa Town Guide
Glossa is a quiet, but beautifull traditional town 32km north of Skopelos. Situated at an altitude of 250 meters high on the side of a mountain. Surrounded by pine forests with stunning views over the sea, this truly is a very peaceful and tranquil part of Skopelos.The architectural style of the village is similar to that found in northern Greece, white-washed builidings with wooden balconies and terracotta rooftiles. Around 1400 people live here throughout the year with the usual amenities open to serve the local population. You can get quite breathless walking the steep pathways and stairs but the magnificant views make it all worthwhile! Reached from the port of Loutraki (an easy 25 minute journey by Dolphin from Skiathos or a wonderful 1 hour scenic bus ride from Skopelos Town) It's a wonderfull place to relax.
